How the world searched…

The Zeitgeist (“spirit of time”). Google collects each year the most popular terms in the leading search engine on the internet. As it could not be otherwise in the year of the definitive explosion of social networks, Twitter and Facebook are among the most searched words.

However, the term that has experienced the fastest growth is Chatroulette, a system that became popular in the first third of the year consisting of randomly connecting Internet users who have a webcam, in such a way that sporadic contacts between complete strangers are contacted.

The second place is for the gadget of the year: the Apple iPad. The podium is completed by a celebrity, the singer Justin Bieber.

At the other extreme, among the terms that have experienced a greater drop in searches compared to last year, swine flu Gr (Flu A), Susan Boyle and Michael Jackson
